US Soldier's suspected in Afghanistan shooting was came from stryker brigade AP Seattle source


The suspected US service army in Afghan shooting spree is in custody at a base in Kandahar.Pentagon spokesman George Little said that it would be "Inappropriate" to give the name of the staff sergeant before the charges is filed.

The staff sergeant was deployed Dec.3 with the 2nd Battalion, 3rd Infantry Regiment of the 3rd Stryker Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, based at Joint Base Lewis-McChord located south of Seattle. This information was being told to the Associated Press by a congressional source.

The soldier,has been in the US military service for 11 years,and already serve three tours to Iraq,Married with two children.A pretrial was being held in Kandahar in which Army Officials reviewing his complete deployment and medical history, said by Pentagon officials.US officials spoke on condition anonymity because the case is under investigation.

It was found out in the investigation that the soldier was involved in a vehicular accident during a recent tour of duty in Iraq, which made him suffered a head injury though the extent of the injury isn't available.The incident was not a combat related and their is no sign or indication that his injury would cause him into abnormal behavior.

Jorge Gonzalez, executive director of Coffee Strong, said frequent Stryker deployments are taking their toll.

"There is definitely fatigue, many are on their third, fourth deployments. Many can't wait to get out," (Jorge Gonzalez)
