Pandemic Influenza | A(H1N1) in philippines

The Pandemic Influenza A(H1N1) has already infected almost 600 filipinos as of june 24,2009. 77-79% of this has totally recovered and has undergone 10 days self quarantine.People had panic buying preventive medecines and santizers. And people who had an ordinary flu are going to health clinic for a swab test.This global Pandemic scares people specially those who have a little knowledge about this killer virus.So, we have to know what is this virus? and How can we prevent being infected of this virus?

As research, Influenza commonly refered to as the flu.it is an infectious disease cause by RNA viruses of the family Orthomyxoviridae(the Influenza viruses) that affects birds and mamals.came from the italian word influenza,meaning "Influence".Common symptoms of this disease is chill,sorethroat,muscle pain,severe headaches,weakness and general discomfort.fever and coughs is the mos frequent symptoms.Influenza causes pneumonia which can be fatal specially to the young and elderly.
What is this Influenza A virus subtype H1N1,also known as A(H1N1)? It is a subtype of Influenza virus A and the common cause of flu in human.

How to prevent this virus? Well as the doctors always said "Prevention is better than Cure" so here are some tips to prevent this virus.

1.) Regularly wash your hands specially after touching things that are expose to the public like a peso coin or a 20 peso bill.Use water base alcohol or any kind of sanitizers.

2.)Cover your mouth with your elbow instead of your hand when sneezing or coughing.If we cover it with our hands, Their might be a possibility that we touch some part of our body that can cause us to be infected.

3.) Avoid hand shaking, hugging to a friend if you are not sure that it is safe to hug and kiss them.do not go to crowded places.

4.)Improve body resistance by eating healty foods with vitamin c.

This Influenza A(H1N1) was declared by the Worl Health Organization (WHO), as Pandemic(stage 6) last june 11, 2009.But nothing to wory if we all know the symptoms an the cause of this virus.
